@patrick We're getting real close, I got pulled away yesterday but at this point it's ready for flip and monitor assembly! If I'm lucky might get it finished today? 👀

@sethmlarson Is that a 49” monitor on that arm? I wasn’t confident about doing that with mine, but now that I’ve seen how much space the base takes up on my desk I want to find one.

@davidism It is, I have a ROG XG49VQ so it's ~22 pounds without the stand. The monitor arm is the Uplift Crestview which is rated for 33 pounds:

For the first few hours it's held up? Had to crank the heck out of the arm tension though.

@davidism @sethmlarson I don’t have one that heavy anymore, but I used to, and the Ergotron HX worked great (o think it’s rated for up to around 40 pounds or something).

@davidism And you better believe I had the original foam beneath the monitor the entire time I was getting confident that indeed, it wasn't going to splat my beloved monitor.

@sethmlarson Crossing my fingers, the Samsung G9 is 31 lbs without the stand. The Crestview is less than half the price of the Ergotron that @LucidDan used. I'll grab some padding just in case 😆

@davidism @LucidDan Oh boy, really pushing the limits! I had a huge pad of foam underneath the monitor for a good few days before fully trusting it myself :)

@sethmlarson Double checked the specific model number, and this one is "only" 25 lbs.
